Thirteen people were arrested on charges of driving under the influence during an overnight sobriety check point conducted in Shaler by the North Hills DUI Task Force along with the City of Pittsburgh.
One of those arrested on DUI charges was the result of an evaluation by the drug recognition expert, according to the news release.
Other arrests included one for possession of a prohibited offensive weapon, one for an outstanding warrant and three for underage drinking. Thirteen citations and/or warnings were issued for various vehicle code violations. Five warnings were given for seatbelt violations.
